“ This review is soley on my take out experience. This was a pickup order and was made by a friend. I would normally go to a different restaurant for Guyanese food that was out of the way. This area of Queens is basically the only place to get good Guyanese food. I read a lot of the other reviews that targeted poor and rude customer service. Most of the reviews say the food is pretty good. We had a few basic dishes which were Lo Mein, chicken and vegetable fried rice. All the food had good taste, they give great portions and prices are reasonable. They provided utensils and plenty of hot sauce! Can't forget that. Overall it was a good choice and for what I ordered the food tasted pretty close to my regular place I go. I would recommend them for take out based on this experience. ”

Being that I'm Indian, I have a hard time liking West Indian dishes which are heavily curried.. this being because though our Indian spices are similar to Guyanese ones.. the differences are still very distinct to natives of both countries. That's why when I come to sweet sisters I'm pleasantly refreshed with how some of their dishes like fried aloo and eggplant can cater to the taste of someone who's foreign to the cuisine. On another pleasant note, whenever the owner serves me she always diligently remembers to pack everything. Tissues, spoons, a plate (if requested) and a pepper sauce. Mmm that pepper sauce highly recommend. Love, love, love them. ”
